Scientific and commercial interest in the manufacture of nanoparticles has increased by leaps and bounds since the discovery of their importance for numerous applications. Degussa has an excellent starting position in this area: with the establishment of the internal start-up Advanced Nanomaterials in January 2003, it now occupies a worldwide leading technology position in the supply of new nanomaterials via gas-phase synthesis.
