Preliminary Review of Adaptation Options for Climate-Sensitive Ecosystems and Resources (SAP 4.4)
EPA has announced the final report entitled, Synthesis and Assessment Product 4.4: Preliminary Review of Adaptation Options for Climate Sensitive Ecosystems and Resources . This Synthesis and Assessment Product 4.4 (SAP 4.4) analyzes information on the state of knowledge of adaptation options for key, representative ecosystems and resources that may be sensitive to climate variability and change.
This SAP, complies with the requirements of the Global Change Research Act of 1990. The implementation of this Act is under the the U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP), the forerunner to the U.S. Global Change Research Program, to which EPA is a partner agency. There are 21 mandated SAPs, with NCEA's Global Change Assessment Staff taking the lead on this report. This effort is coordinated with the USGCRP Interagency Committee and the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

|May 2007||Establishment of the Adaptation for Climate-Sensitive Ecosystems and Resources Advisory Committee (ACSERAC), as posted in a May 10, 2007 Federal Register Notice.|
|Aug 2007||USGCRP releases a Public Comment Draft along with an invitation for public review and comment.|
|Feb 2008||EPA releases a Final (Third) Draft along with an invitation for public review and comment.|
|Jun 2008||EPA releases the final report. Simultaneously, USGCRP released the SAP 4.4 Final Report as well.|
