Health Assessment Document For Diesel Exhaust (SAB Review Draft, July 2000)

This revised draft assessment of the possible health hazards from human exposure to diesel exhaust emissions updates three earlier drafts (1999, 1998 and 1994) that were reviewed by the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) of the Agency,s Science Advisory Board (SAB). The current draft assessment characterizes the possible human health hazards and related exposure-response aspects of those hazards related to environmental exposure to diesel exhaust. This draft assessment incorporates peer review comments provided by the CASAC in February 2000. The CASAC peer-reviewed the document in October 2000 and EPA accepted public comments. See the Federal Register attached at #11 and the SAB web site for the details of the CASAC review and the public review and comment period.
