Overview FY 2009 Funding Levels
State Wildlife Grant Program (Non-Tribal)  The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (USFWS) State Wildlife Grant (SWG) program provides grants to states, territories, and the District of Columbia for wildlife conservation.The SWG program provides funds to help develop and implement programs that benefit wildlife and their habitat, including species that are not hunted or fished. Although not directly eligible for these grants, third parties such as nonprofit organizations may benefit from these funds by working directly with their states to see if either grants or partnering opportunities are available.  $61.1 million
