Overview FY 2009 Funding Levels
Great Lakes Program  EPA's Great Lakes Program issues awards to monitor Great Lakes ecosystem indicators; provides public access to Great Lakes data; helps communities address contaminated sediments in their harbors; supports local protection and restoration of important habitats; promotes pollution prevention through activities and projects such as the Canada-U.S. Binational Toxics Strategy; issues awards to address invasive species; and provides assistance to implement community-based Remedial Action Plans for Areas of Concern and for development of Lakewide Management Plans and the reduction of critical pollutants pursuant to those plans.   $60 million
