Overview FY 2009 Funding Levels
Snagging and Clearing for Flood Control (CAP Section 208)  Work under this authority provides for local protection from flooding by channel clearing and excavation, with limited embankment construction by use of materials from the clearing operation only. The non-Federal sponsor is responsible for a minimum of 35% to a maximum of 50% of total project costs and the Federal Government is responsible for the remainder of total project costs. The Federal share of planning, design, and construction cannot exceed $500,000 for each project  $478,000
