Air Facility Systems Universal Interface Cross Reference Tables

Problems accessing a document?

Periodically there are changes to the Air Facility System (AFS), and as a result cross-reference codes are either added or changed in the system. When this occurs, the Universal Interface (UI) cross reference tables must also be updated to match those of AFS in order for the validation process in the UI to properly compare data.

For example, if your validation report indicates invalid code usage and you believe the codes are valid, refreshing the cross-reference tables may be the solution. Previously, updating the cross reference tables has meant logging on to the mainframe, running the appropriate reports, and downloading them to your site. Now, you can obtain your code and description files from the files listed below without having to log onto the AFS. These files will be updated when table changes occur. You can download and refresh your application tables with them.

The tables are broken up into two categories: National and Regional. All of the tables needed for each category are within the appropriately labeled file. Please note that the "Date" refers to the date the information was downloaded from AFS.

Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) county code tables are not provided here because states rarely re-assign counties. However, if you need to replace your county codes, please contact contact the UI technical support for further assistance. See also the UI Web page.

NOTE: As of November 25, 2003 - If you are updating your UI action type table, you need to be running version 2.1 of the UI since the AFS action type file now contains new fields to account for obsolete action types and Title V Certification Due visibility.
