Step 1: Define the Case
At the conclusion of Step 1, you should have the following products (example products from Step 1).
- A definition of the impairment or group of impairments that will be the focus of the investigation,
- A definition of the specific effects that will form the basis for the analysis,
- A description of the geographic extent, and
- A statement of investigations objectives.
After you develop these products, proceed to Step 2, List Candidate Causes.
